Community Development Advisory Board (CDAB)

The Community Development Advisory Board (CDAB) provides policy guidance for and exercises oversight with respect to activities and services provided under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974. The Committee makes recommendations to County Council on matters affecting the Consolidated Plan and other related matters as the common interest of the participating jurisdictions may dictate. The Board consists of representatives from eleven local governments and four non-government partners. The non-government partners must be one representative from each the financial, legal, and construction fields as well as one community-based representative.


CDAB Meetings

The Community Development Advisory Board meets three times per year to guide the allocation of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Urban Entitlement funds received by Charleston County on an annual basis. CDAB meeting dates for the 2025 Program Year are listed below. All meetings are open to the public and held in person in Council Chambers, located on the 2nd floor of the Lonnie Hamilton III Public Services Building, 4045 Bridge View Drive, North Charleston, SC 29405.
